Wanting to go

Chris Blattman has pointed to two really interesting things in the last few days. The first is a piece from Google.org about the possibilities for scalable, off-the-grid solutions to power infrastructure problems that has me scanning the Google.org blog to find out more. Then there is a series about China's activity in Africa that is interesting, but annoying. However, Blattman's response to the assertion that Chinese interest in importing natural resources from Africa is being referred to as "the Great Chinese Takeout" is classic:
I've never heard anyone refer to the "Takeout". Sounds like something obnoxious said at ex-pat bars. But cut out the junk and there's useful information there.
