As I head out, finally, to North Carolina I am pretty excited that one of my home states has had a central part in the nomination and that my siblings went and voted for Obama, even if I couldn't be there. Though I had a blast campaigning, it doesn't compare to welcoming your brother home from Iraq.
However, it is hard to feel good about the world on a day when I am hearing even more about the horrors in Burma (Myanmar) especially when there seems to be some possibility that both our administration and that in Myanmar are playing politics in the face of the destruction and death that may have been partially prevented if Myanmar had publicized the warning India gave them.
