No, no, no

I missed this, but last Sunday was supposed to be a blog recognition of the prevalence of rape that has been a huge part of war in the Congo. I don't have anything like a popular blog that draws attention to things, but you really should read this post about the movie The Greatest Silence.

Also, this person is warning that Sudan is a powder keg waiting to explode because of some of the same religious and cultural factors that have caused such horrors in Darfur. The article is especially concerned about Sudan because of the continuing split between the North and South of the country, whose civil war has abated for only a few years, and because the author fears that if hostilities resumed they could spark a larger conflict in the surrounding countries, like Ethiopia and Chad (and of course Darfur). The article feels alarmist, but considering all the news that has been coming out about the Sahel and the way it is linked, it seems like something to keep in mind.
