So, my advisor's book is finally out. It is also expensive so I won't be buying it for a little while but, considering I was essentially sitting in on classes taught from the manuscript for a few years, I think I can say with confidence that I highly recommend it. Though I may use WorldCat to find it; it searches libraries world wide to find one near you that has the book you are searching for. In short, it rocks. There's another new book link that is more fun than useful: books that make you dumb.

The book re-frames the roots of both democracy and literary criticism in Britian, which is important for understanding the ideas our own country was based on and that we often take for granted, so you should read it if you are interested in this subject or if you would like to see the propaganda that has shaped my own views.
