Maybe I did choose correctly.

I've been very nervous about re-upping my phone contract for the two years that are required to get the new (and gorgeous) LG Venus at a reasonable price, but they just announced that as of 2008 they are allowing all devices and applications on their network. Granted, the devices have to be tested and approved and the haven't said anything about what this means for the things Google is trying to push, but this is still a pretty awesome announcement.
