Apparently there is more to the internet gambling ban then I could ever imagine. This traces the sad history of Pay Pal and explains why the internet gambling move can actually be viewed as protectionist.
The even stranger thing is that apparently the world has noticed and Antigua has brought suit against the US in the WTO. Apparently, the US has essentially said we don't care, which means that Antigua is now considering not enforcing US copyrights and patents, which we can't do much to retaliate against while we are ignoring a WTO ruling. Blog reactions, as you might expect, are positive.
