I'm gonna be as crazy as I wanna be. Check this: I started off at plastic, following a thread dedicated to illuminating so called perfect albums - a rubes game,but diverting. Somebody there linked to John Darnielle's blog (e-zine? Who really cares? I'm decidedly too old for this shit.) where he penned a four part series concerning a fictional meeting between Eminem and Axl Rose. Fun on its on own, this proved particularly serendipitous to my desire to indulge the indierock fetish. Darnielle also plays music as the (fucking awesome) Mountain Goats. Check them out, especially "Dance Music", "Palmcorder Yajna", and "The Best Ever death Metal Band in Denton."
Procedural note: Click the "listen" link to hear a song. This spawns a fairly irritating player that streams the music, but most of the "download" links appear broken.
