Today it has felt very much like we are all going to hell in a hand basket...
First, came this report of the horrors in Baghdad, which is now hardly being reported because of Katrina which some people are saying may have killed a thousand people. And the news that New Orleans is under water and being looted. And Kate has still not heard from some of her family who were in the city. The Red Cross is one of the most linked to sites for blogs right now. Could it have been avoided? I don't know, but I'll be praying for a little while tonight, even though I know it doesn't always keep away nightmares.
Update: Kate's family down there are ok.
