Tempests, Teacups, etc.

Tuborg Beer Rocks.I’m not sure how I missed this, but I’m on it now. It seems this past February a Danish newspaper published some less than complimentary cartoons of the prophet Muhammad. Predictably, humorless fundamentalists were annoyed and began to encourage the Danes to abandon freedom of speech. As the backlash grew, the newspaper that published the cartoons issued a formal apology, but the Danish Prime Minister refused to do the same, saying
“The Danish government cannot apologize on behalf of a Danish newspaper. It does not work like that... and we have explained that to the Arab countries. Independent media are not edited by the government.”
The result, in addition to sporadic violence and constant threats, has been a massive Middle Eastern boycott of Danish goods.

The solution: buy Danish.
