Clips & Chords

So some guy with a web page (isn’t that everybody?) called “m3 online” posted a list of his own personal top 65 music videos of 2005. The content is almost overwhelmingly (maybe entirely) indie rock clips, but if you have the patience to brave suburban angst there are some great videos that you will probably never see on mtv.

Of particular note is number 42, "Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)" by the Arcade Fire. It looks to be a combination of traditional and CG animation (that users my beloved toon shaders) but you would have to ask one of our resident pixel heads for a more detailed (correct) explanation. Anyway, I thought it looked great and it has given me a reason to look back at a band I had essentially written off.
