A shop in London is already working like it should in science fiction.

Instead of driving the minivan off to IKEA, you walk down the street to your neighborhood CNC equipped shop, choose the design that suits your needs, choose your plywood and size, and they cut them out on the spot.

I want, though I want to be able to design it right there, too, not just pick my options.
