Psychological Pain

I didn't see the debate last night, (I had plans that involved belly dancing and fresh strawberry shortcake) but I did record it and I am now faced with the choice of whether to watch it or not. It appears that everybody in the world, except David Brooks, thinks that the debate was one of the most painful experiences they have ever seen. The consensus seems to be that America lost and there may be a backlash. Do I really need to watch it?
