The Peter Principle

Kevin Drum, over at the Washington Monthly, has two post suggesting that some of Al Qaeda's largest problems may be management ones. Supposedly, the internet strategy that was working well for them is failing in the light of contemporary expectations of interactivity in web sites and social networking and Taliban insurgents have been blowing up cell phone towers in Afghanistan, which really isn't going over well with the local population.

I'll be honest, there are few things that would make me happier than cell phones, Facebook, and blogging being our best weapons against terrorism. Pipedream, I know, but still.
