This is going to be a much quicker post than I wanted to write, but I have been meaning to link to the continuing story at Reason about the abuses of the criminal justice system by an unqualified medical examiner who has been proven wrong on several death penalty cases and, yet, has maintained his position and continued to work on high profile cases. I have things to say about it, but for now I am just going to point to it and the current records request that the Innocence Project has instituted.

These sorts of stories really don't make me feel better about our horrific imprisonment rates. Does this really seem like the thing wee want to be leading the world in.
