Scientists may be figuring why, exactly, cigarettes cause cancer; this opens up the possibility of smoking that is far less dangerous. While I have never been a regular smoker, I have never denied Tom Robbins' assertion that there is something that feels indecently powerful (and sensual) about breathing fire so I think the research is marvelous.
