There is an article in the Washington Post discussing a trip to North Korea that essentially sounds as if was written by Kundera. The first line:

In closed communist dictatorships, land-use planning often edges toward the far side of eccentricity.

Really, it is short and you will hardly ever get this sort of laugh out of ruminating on North Korea, read it.
