There has, of late, finally been some science concerning the orgasm and exactly what it is and how it is caused. One of the most interesting discoveries is that it may depend not on the nerves that send messages up the spinal cord, but on the vagus nerves that wander throughout the body and are far less well-understood. Recent studies include a doctor who is trying to use implanted electrodes to induce orgasm and an actual physiological theory for why women may have different experiences concerning sex and orgasm. Fascinating!!
