Slate has an interesting article explaining some of the milieu in Kenya that has led to the current violence, mostly the history of the Kikuyu and how that affects the situation. Though the comments seem to imply that it is a viewpoint that is more sympathetic to the Kikuyu than is perhaps warranted. I advise you to read some of the comments and I will post up a competing narrative if I run across it.

Georgia is trying to get the border between it and Tenn revised because it isn't exactly on the 35th parallel and the territory, which hasn't been disputed for nearly 200 years, would affect water rights, rather important with the drought. Maybe Sonny Purdue thinks this is God's answer to his pray-for-rain day.
