The preceding subject reminded me of another thing that had occurred over the holidays and was stuck in my massive notepad list of links that I meant to put up and that will probably never actually get posted.
It doesn't really have anything to do with Egypt, but the six gulf states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) are banning together to allow citizens of all six to be "economically equal" and move much more freely between them. I was amazed at the time that nobody but the BBC seemed to mention it.
