So here are some pictures I took from the plane while we were taxing up to the Hong Kong airport. The runway is about ten feet from the water and there are mountains all around the city. You pass over mountainous islands with high rise apartments clinging to the side on the approach we took to the runway.

The smog is intense over Hong Kong, as you can see in these pictures. Those mountains are not far away, but you could barely see them through the haze. Luckily, the haze made for a great sunset while we were waiting on the tarmac.

I also have some pictures of the towers and the actual airport. The towers at the Hong Kong airport look like they were built in 1960 and have barely been updated, but the airport was quite nice inside. Hangings about the coming Olympics were everywhere, but I didn't get any pictures of them because I was very tired and kind of an idiot.
