Does "Karla with a K" make people gay?

For those that knew my former roommate Karla with a "K" while I served my time at Clemson, she had this obsession with boy bands, particularly NSYNC. There was a framed(!) picture of NSYNC on the stove. She often played their style of music at her townhouse. I am surprised she didn't name the dogs after members of the band.

Karla with a K also had an obsession with Lance Bass, the spikey blond haired member. Ohhh, she pined after him ... I remember her talking a few times about "What if .....".

Well Karla with a K, sorry to shatter your dreams and aspirations. Not only did the band age (and as a result, fade into oblivion much to the dismay of thousands of 12 year olds), but Lance had some skeletons in the closet. It turns out that Lance is gay (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I'm sure that in retrospect, Karla with a K will remember his striking good looks, well manicured face and hands, sharp sense of fashion, and proclivity for white wine spritzers and think ... "Why didn't I see this coming ..."

PS - Nature is about balance. Few things (aside from human activity) really disrupt the ebb and flow of nature. Perhaps this is nature's way of taking back from the era of boy bands.
