A Couple of Quick Hits

Star Wars Episodes I–VI as an “elephantine postmodern art film”. It’s meant as a compliment. This is mostly interesting as a chilling example of the misuse of critical language. Of course, I have often been heard saying that as a director George Lucas is a miserable hack who got lucky exactly once. Maybe one and a half times if you’re generous and willing to inflict Ron Howard upon yourself.
