Bookslut recently published a list of rock-n-roll centric tomes under the (misleading) rubric, “A Guide To Rock Novels,” that somehow managed to neglect both Chuck Klosterman and the entire Cobain-centric section of the non-fiction shelf. But it did remind me of something I had seen a while ago.
Continuum has been publishing a series of books called “33 1/3” that I find utterly fascinating. Each book in the series is written by a single author and focuses on a single influential/famous rock album. The authors are generally rock critics with a particular love of the album in question. It could be terrible, but from where I’m sitting, reading 100+ pages on Pet Sounds doesn’t sound like such a bad gig.

So this is just in case someone didn't have any Christmas present ideas for you?
I also like the SF Rock novels category.
Which, btw, includes Idoru, by William Gibson.
Yes, Christmas is coming and I want to make sure my stocking is adequately stuffed. In case you forget, some bands I really like include:
The Beach Boys
The Ramones
The Replacements
